PM Modi conveys good wishes on Vishwa Hindi Divas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his good wishes on the occasion of Vishwa Hindi Divas. In his message, Mr. Modi said Hindi is one of the most commonly used languages of the world and with the growing influence of India at the global level, people are showing interest in learning it.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said, connect of Hindi with technology will help establish it as a world language. <br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry and its foreign Missions celebrate 10th January as Vishwa Hindi Divas every year. <br/><br/>Later, Secretary (East) Preeti Saran in a function in New Delhi asked the Ministry officials to constantly make efforts to establish Hindi as a more strong language at the world level. She said the foreign Ministry is continuously trying to fulfill this objective under the able leadership of External Affairs Minister. <br/><br/>She also mentioned the role of India Council of Cultural Relations in running Hindi teaching facilities in different foreign universities. Ms Saran said a Hindi and Sanskrit Division has been set up in the Ministry to coordinate promotion of Hindi in foreign countries.
