Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal for winning a silver medal at the World Badminton Championships in Indonesia. <br/><br/>Mr Modi said, a Silver at the World Badminton Championships is a momentous feat. World number two Saina lost to Spain's Carolina Marin in the finals yesterday to settle for the silver medal, which was the best performance by an Indian in the showpiece. Legendary shuttler Prakash Padukone was the first Indian to win a bronze at the 1983 edition.
