Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that after lions and tigers, the leopard population has increased. In a tweet, Mr Modi congratulated to all those who are working towards animal conservation. He said, we have to keep up these efforts and ensure the animals live in safe habitats.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar had yesterday released the Status of Leopard in India 2018 report. Mr Javadekar announced that India now has 12 thousand 8 hundred 52 leopards. He said, more than 60 per cent increase has been recorded in leopard population over the previous estimate which was conducted in 2014.</span><br />
