Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for greater bilateral and multilateral cooperation between India and Japan against terrorism. <br/>During his meeting with visiting Defence Minister of Japan Gen Nakatani in New Delhi today, Mr. Modi condoled the loss of life of Japanese citizens in the terror attack in Dhaka earlier this month. <br/><br/>He appreciated Japanese participation at the International Fleet Review in Vishakhapatnam in February this year and in the Malabar Exercise off the Japanese coast last month. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said, he is looking forward to his visit to Japan later this year for the Annual Summit. General Nakatani briefed Mr. Modi on the bilateral defence cooperation initiatives and regional developments in East and Southeast Asia. <br/><br/>Earlier in the day, the Japanese Defence Minister held talks with his Indian counterpart Manohar Parrikar.
