Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India has an ancient tradition of openness, respect for diversity of beliefs and cultures. Before leaving for Moscow on a two-day official visit, Mr. Modi told Russian news agency Itar-Taas that India is one of the oldest civilisations in the world, which believes that the world is one family. <br/><br/>Noting that India is home to people from all major faiths of the world, 22 official languages and diverse cultures and ethnicities, the Prime Minister said, Yet, there is a strong sense of unity across our diversity. Our Constitution guarantees and nurtures the diversities of our country, Mr. Modi said.
