Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked people with undeclared assets to come clean before September next year and take benefit from the Income Declaration Scheme. <br/><br/>Speaking at an Industry Meet in Delhi, the Prime Minister said, it is a better alternative than living in fear of the government and Income Tax officers. <br/><br/>Saying that he wanted citizens to sleep peacefully, Mr Modi said, he would not like to take action against people who do not declare assets till the last date of the scheme. <br/><br/>He urged jewellers to ask people with the Gems and Jewellery industry to declare assets saying tax evasion is common in this industry.
