Prime Minister Narendra Modi has raised the issue of bringing fugitive Vijay Mallya back with British Prime Minister Theresa May. <br/><br/>Mr Modi held a meeting with Ms May today on sidelines of G-20 Summit in Hamsburg. <br/><br/>In a tweet, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay said that Mr Modi met his British counterpart and asked for UK's cooperation for return of escaped Indian economic offenders.<br/><br/>Mallya is wanted in India for Kingfisher Airlines' default on loans worth nearly 9,000 crore rupees. He has been in the UK since March 2016. <br/><br/>Recently, he was arrested by Scotland Yard on an extradition warrant and was granted bail.
