Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appreciated the achievement of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh in expanding the coverage of Common Service Centres to facilitate the people of the district. The Prime Minister was interacting with District Magistrates of various aspirational districts of the country via video conferencing.<br />''  <br />''Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also joined the meeting virtually from Shimla. He thanked the Prime Minister for appreciating the achievement of Chamba district in increasing the coverage of Common Service Centres from about 67 per cent to over 97 per cent.<br />'' <br />''He said that the Aspirational District Programme was started by the Prime Minister in January, 2018 for the country and Chamba district was also selected under this scheme. Mr Thakur said, since the implementation of this programme, Chamba district has constantly performed well in different sectors. He said the district has been ranked second in Health and Nutrition in March, 2019, ranked among best districts in basic infrastructure in November, 2020 and over all second in October, 2021 in the country. <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">        <br />''The Chief Minister said that on the basis of its ranking, Chamba district has been provided incentive worth 8 crore rupees by the NITI Aayog in the form of projects. Projects worth 25.04 crore rupees have been sanctioned under CSR head for the district. </span><br />
