PM Modi and Chinese Prez Xi Jinping emphasize on joint efforts to enhance mutual trust & friendship

<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Both the leaders discussed joint efforts to further enhance mutual trust and friendship across all aspects of the ties. <br />''<br />''During  the meeting Mr Modi said, this year has been very important for relations between the two nations. He expressed confidence that coming year would be even better. <br />''<br />''The Prime Minister also termed the Wuhan summit as a milestone in bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over the progress made as a result of bilateral meets. In a series of tweets, Ministry of External Affairs, spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar said that meeting between the two leaders was warm and productive.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Later , Mr Modi will address the first session of the G 20 summit. Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said the Prime Minister will make a lead intervention in the first session of the summit, based on the theme – 'Putting People First'. His speech will stress upon the  risks posed by oil price volatility, flagship programmes including Skill India, MUDRA Yojana, Digital India and GST among others. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, Mr. Modi  said that India will highlight the need for reformed multilateralism which reflects the contemporary realities  during the G20 summit. Meanwhile, on the first day of his visit to Argentina, Prime Minister met the Saudi Crown Prince<b> </b>Mohammed Bin Salman. During their talks both have decided to set up a mechanism at the leadership level to scale up the oil-rich kingdom's investments in energy, infrastructure and defence sectors in India. Mr Modi also had a meeting with UN General Secretary, Antonio Gutteres to discuss India's role in addressing climate change globally with specific reference to the forthcoming COP 24 meeting in Katowice Poland.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier addressing the Yoga for peace Event at the La rural Fair grounds Buenos Aires today the Prime Minister invited the Indian Diaspora to attend the Pravasi Bharathya Diwas to be held at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh next year. He appealed to them to come along with their friends in Argentina so that they can experience a 'New India'.</span><br />''
