Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with global oil and gas experts today in New Delhi. The discussions focused on subjects including increasing share of gas in India's energy mix, fresh investment in oil and gas exploration in the country, regulatory frameworks, and international acquisition of oil and gas assets. The Prime Minister emphasized his vision for a fresh look at the sector, to bring in investment, technological up gradation, and development of human resources. The interaction, which lasted over two hours, also included Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan. Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog Arvind Panagariya, and top officials from the Government and NITI Aayog were also present during the interaction.
