A delegation of weavers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The delegation thanked Mr Modi for announcing 7th August as National Handloom Day. They also expressed the happiness of the handloom industry for recent policy initiatives and said that the initiatives will help the handloom industry. The delegation also gave its suggestions and inputs to the Prime Minister for the handloom sector.
