Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his senior Cabinet colleagues this morning in Parliament House. <br/><br/>Union Ministers Manohar Parrikar, Rajnath Singh and Venkaiah Naidu attended the meeting which was held ahead of the Defence Minister's scheduled statement in the Rajya Sabha on AgustaWestland helicopter deal this afternoon. Both the ruling BJP and opposition Congress have geared up to counter each other over the issue.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Congress President Sonia Gandhi held a meeting with party MPs this morning to fine tune their strategy to counter the treasury benches. They have been targeting each other following the revelations in the VVIP chopper deal. Later, she told reporters outside Parliament that the new revelations in the case are most welcome.<br/><br/>Recently, an Italian court had observed that there is a reasonable belief of corruption in the helicopter deal relating to the purchase of 12 helicopters from Italian manufacturer, Finmeccanica, during the UPA rule.
