Prime Minister Manmohan Singh launched the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020 in New Delhi yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh termed the mission as a very important milestone in the country’s efforts for a cleaner and greener transport system for the future. Dr. Singh urged for reduction in the transport sector’s dependence on oil. He said this can be achieved by faster adoption of the full range of electric vehicle technologies.
