Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the achievements in the field of rural electrification as over five thousand villages have been covered in just six months. <br/><br/>In a series of tweets, Mr. Modi said team India has done exceedingly well by achieving this target in around 200 days. These electrifications have been done in the villages of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Assam and Jharkhand. <br/><br/>During his Independence Day speech last year, Prime Minister called for electrification of all the remaining over 18 thousand villages in 1000 days.
