On the occasion of National Vaccination Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday complimented all the healthcare workers for their efforts towards keeping India healthy. In a reply to a tweet by Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Prime Minister reiterated the commitment to building a healthy India and also recalled India's strides in vaccinating people.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''In his tweet, Dr Mandaviya said that the entire nation salutes the hard work of frontline healthcare workers to ensure the vaccination of every child. He said, India has made remarkable progress in scaling up routine immunisation through various phases of Mission Indradhanush. He added that the full Immunisation coverage among children aged 12 to 23 months has increased from 62 per cent in 2015-16 to 76.4 per cent in 2019-21. He said, it has helped save so many precious lives.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Health Minister further informed that Mission Indradhanush has completed eleven phases covering 701 districts, since its launch in 2014. Till May last year, 4.45 crore children and&nbsp; 1.2 crore pregnant women were vaccinated. He also said that the first two phases of Mission Indradhanush resulted in a 6.7 per cent increase in full immunisation coverage in a year.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />
