PM is making hollow promises before elections says Rahul Gandhi

In Assam, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making hollow promises before elections. <br/><br/>Addressing a rally in Nagaon district today, Mr. Gandhi claimed that people of the country are now demanding fulfillment of the assurances made by the Prime Minister. <br/><br/>The Congress Vice-President said that Mr. Modi did not fulfill his pre-poll promises like bringing down prices of essential commodities or getting back black money from abroad. <br/><br/>He maintained that the Congress' biggest achievement in Assam had been bringing back peace in the last 15 years. Referring to the JNU incident, Gandhi maintained that JNU Student Union President Kanhaiya Kumar had not made any anti-India remarks. <br/><br/>Assam Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to fulfill poll promises.<br/><br/>Assembly polls in Assam will be held on 4th and 11th of April in two phases.
