Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated various irrigation and water related initiatives at Aji Dam in Rajkot today including the filling of Aji dam with Narmada waters under Sauni Yojana.'<br/><br/>Addressing the Public meeting at Aji Dam, PM said it is a responsibility of everyone to conserve as much water as possible. He stressed on the use of latest technology in the sphere of water conservation and embrace drip irrigation.<br/>'<br/>PM said Gujarat has come a long way from the days of severe water scarcity. He expressed the strong hope that once each and every part of the state filled with water and more people have access to water, the more doors of progress will open for the state. He said it is the priority for him to give water as early as possible.<br/>'<br/>PM recognized the role of younger generation in finding solutions to the everyday problems. PM on the occasion launched Smart Rajkot Heckathon where urban local body will engage with young students to find innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of various government departments.<br/>'<br/>Mr. Modi is now leading a roadshow from Aji dam up to the Rajkot city airport.
