PM inaugurates top police officers' conference in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has formally inaugurated the All-India conference of Directors General of Police at Dhordo in white Rann of Kutch near Bhuj today. Three day conference has been inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister for Home Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Home Kiran Rijju and Haribhai Patel. Director General of Police of all the state and Head of other security agencies are participating in this conference. <br/><br/>According to sources, the annual conference of top police officials will discuss the issues related to internal security of the country besides the ways to foil attempts of IS to spread its base in the country. The conference is also attended by IGs of state and union territories, heads of National Investigation Agency, Central Bureau of Investigation, Intelligence Bureau, narcotics department and various police training. <br/><br/>DGs and IGs of paramilitary forces like Border Security Force -BSF, Central Reserve Police Force-CRPF and Central Industrial Security Force are also participating in the conference. AIR correspondent reports that top police officials along with their families have enjoyed spectacular cultural events in the vast area of white desert before all important deliberations to be held tomorrow.
