Prime Minister has inaugurated the TCS Japan Technology and Culture Academy and flagged off the first batch of students who will be going to India for training.
The Academy is a Joint Venture of Tata Consultancy Services and Mitsubishi Corporation.
Modi said the 21st century would be a ‘knowledge century. He also referred to India’s knowledge heritage and leadership of the world in the past, through institutions such as Taxila and Nalanda.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met Emperor Akihito a short while ago in Imperial Palace.
The visit of Narendra Modi is prominently highlighted by the Japanese media. Newspapers carried photographs- of Modi and news on Tokyo Declaration.
Asahi newspaper reports on Defense training co-operates with Japan and India. The paper, quoting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe also said that meeting was a meaningful exchange of opinions on security and number of challenge with Modiji.
The Japan Times said – Abe, India’s Modi agree to boost security, economic ties amid China’s increasing territorial ambitions.
On the other hand,Modi magic continues in Japan also. Number of students queuing up to have a glimpse of Modi this morning in University of Sacred Heart.
A girl showed a placard – Acche Din Aa Gaye. Another girl greeted the Prime Minister with another placard where it was written – Modiji Aapka Swagat Hey.
