Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh today formally inaugurated the Satellite Township at Jagti, Nagrota in the outskirts of Jammu which has been built under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme. About 4,218 two room flats have been built for Kashmiri Pandit migrants in the township. The Prime Minister handed allotment papers to 12 Kashmiri Pandit families. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh said that Union Government in coordination with State Government is making all out efforts to create conducive atmosphere in the Kashmir Valley so that the Kashmiri Pandits can go back to their homes and hearths in the Valley. He expressed the hope that the day will come soon when complete normalcy will return in Kashmir Valley.
