Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh arrives in China today after a two-day visit to Russia. New Delhi has high expectations from the Prime Minister's visit to Bejing. A number of agreements in areas like trade, economy, culture and people-to-people contacts are expected to be signed after the talks Dr. Singh will have with Chinese leaders.

In an interview to AIR, Indian Ambassador to China, Dr. S Jaishankar said, New Delhi is pressing Beijing hard to speed up its procedures to allow Indian medicines to China. He said Indian products in the pharmaceutical sector are competitive and the drugs are highly affordable.
