PM hopes G-20 will come up with constructive proposals to get global economy out of crisis

Expressing serious concern on the deep economic trouble the world is facing, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh hoped that the G-20 Summit will come up with constructive proposals to get the global economy out of the crisis. Dr. Singh was addressing the media after his arrival at Los Cabos, Mexico to attend the G-20 Summit.

He described the grouping as one which deals with international economic cooperation. The two day conclave which begins Monday night, has been overshadowed by the debt crisis in Eurozone and the meltdown in growth in different parts of the world.

AIR Correspondent covering the Summit, reports that leaders of the group have begun arriving at the Pacific resort to attend the Summit. Dr Manmohan Singh will host a meeting of BRICS leaders and exchange views on the agenda of the Summit.

Dr Singh will have bilateral talks with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. He will also be meeting his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Britain, David Cameron and Russian President Vladamir Putin.
