Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said the Budget session of Parliament is very crucial and hoped that the proceedings will be peaceful and productive. On his arrival at the Parliament House this morning for the Budget session The Prime Minister said, the budget has to be debated and passed by the two Houses of Parliament in this session. Dr. Singh said, it also hoped to bring some important pieces of legislation for consideration of Parliament during this session. The winter session of Parliament was a washout with the opposition insisting on a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the 2G scam. The Prime Minister had yesterday stated after the all party meeting convened by Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar that the Government is ready to discuss any issue raised by the opposition.
