PM holds meeting with BJP MPs from seven states

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with BJP MPs from seven states at his residence in New Delhi this morning to discuss various development programmes in those states. Party MPs from Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir attended the meeting. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Ananth Kumar was also present on the occasion. <br/><br/>An official release said the BJP MPs said that public confidence in the government is constantly increasing in the context of various aspects of the development happening in their states. They said that there is enthusiasm regarding GST among small traders and the general public. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said GST is getting unprecedented support and acceptance across the country and that small businessmen should register themselves under GST. The Prime Minister asked the MPs to ensure that the senior citizens get the benefits of social security schemes.
