Expressing deepest sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and properties in the Uttarakhand disaster, Prime minister said, the government is utilizing all its resources to ensure rehabilitation of the affected people and rebuilding the damaged infrastructure. Dr. Singh also paid homage to the Navy personnel who lost their lives in a fire on board the submarine INS Sindhurakshak. He said that the accident was more painful as the navy had recently achieved two major successes in the form of its first nuclear submarine INS Arihant and the aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant.
