The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh has granted Rupees 40 lakh from his MP local area fund to rebuild and expand the complex of a school in a remote village in Assam. Last month, a class eight student, Dhanjita Das of the school had told the Prime Minister that her school was falling apart. <br/><br/>Dhanjita had met the Prime Minister last month on CNN-IBN’s Children's Day show and at the end of it she handed over a letter to the Prime Minister describing the condition of her school. <br/><br/>Dr Singh, a member of Rajya Sabha elected from Assam has allotted the money for the school from his MP local area development fund. <br/>
