Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed pain over the loss of lives due to stampede at Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, he spoke to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and discussed the situation with him. The Prime Minister said, the State Government is working to restore normalcy.<br/><br/>Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi have expressed shock at the unfortunate incident of the loss of lives in a stampede at Godavari Maha Pushkaram in Andhra Pradesh.<br/><br/>In her message, Congress President hoped that the injured are being provided immediate relief.<br/>Expressing pain over the incident, Congress Vice President hoped adequate arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of all visiting pilgrims and devotees.
