PM expresses hope that inflation will come down in coming months

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has expressed hope that inflation will come down in the coming months. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of an Iftar party at his residence, he however refused to specify the timeline by which inflation will be in comfort zone. On the issue of disinvestment, Dr. Singh said that it is the ongoing process. When asked about the disinvestment in the Navaratna Company, ONGC, Prime Minister said, he is not aware about any particular company but he has an able Finance Minister who is dealing with the issue. On the question of cabinet reshuffle before winter session of Parliament, Dr. Singh clarified that he never said that there will be a reshuffle but what he meant was that he will try to do it and added that there are so many constraints on the issue.
