Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of former Gujarat governor Ram Krishna Trivedi. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Trivedi's efforts as the chief election commissioner had greatly enriched the election process in the country. The Prime Minister said, his contribution to public life will be widely remembered.<br/><br/>Trivedi had served as the Chief Election Commissioner from June 18th 1982 to December 31st 1985. He was the Governor of Gujarat from February 26th 1986 to May 2nd 1990.
