The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has emphasised the need for resolving issues through dialogue and accommodating different ideologies. He said that only the Congress which believes in the policy of uniting society and the nation and not dividing them can meet the challenges of terrorism, communalism, Naxalism and regionalism. He was speaking at a function to mark the 125th Foundation Day of the Indian National Congress in New Delhi on Monday. Outlining the various schemes for the welfare of the weaker sections and minorities, Dr Manmohan Singh appealed to party men to take the Congress closer to the common man.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Congress President Mrs Sonia Gandhi described the Congress as a people’s movement which freed the country from imperialism. Later, Dr Manmohan Singh and Mrs Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone of the Indira Bhawan, the new Congress Headquarter and kicked off the year-long celebrations to mark the commemoration of 125 years of the formation of the party.<br/><br/><br/>
