The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has sought to downplay controversial remarks made by Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor. He described them as a joke. Dr. Singh's comment on the three day old controversy came within hours of the Congress hinting at possibility of disciplinary action against Mr. Tharoor for making this unacceptable comment.Car bomb found in Manipur Raj Bhawan ComplexIn Manipur, a Car bomb was found inside the high security Raj Bhawan Complex in Imphal on Friday. However the police noticed, the car bomb in time and aborted a major casualty. Following this, security in the Raj Bhawan has been beefed up.AIR corespondent reports that an underground outfit the Kangleidak Communist Party (Military Council) Lalseiva Meitei has claimed the responsibility for planiting 25 kg car bomb inside the Raj Bhawan.Three persons has been picked up by the police and investigation is on. This is not the first time that the Raj Bhawan, Imphal was targeted by militants.In December, last year, militant hurdeled a bomb inside Raj Bhawan. On two ocassions, the militants also attacked the Chief Minister's bunglow in Imphal with bomb.Fortunately, on Friday car bomb was detected in time and aborted a serious damage to the life and property of Raj Bhawan.This incident may be taken as a wake up call by the all concerned.

PM downplays Tharoor’s remark, calls it a ‘joke’
