The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has directed the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to ensure that rape incidents do not recur in future. Expressing shock over the incident of gang rape of a 23 year old student in the national capital, Dr Singh asked the Home Minister to take all measures to ensure that culprits are brought to justice. Dr Singh described the incident as a heinous crime and very upsetting while receiving a delegation of women MPs led by Mohsina Kidwai on the issue.
