PM directs authorities to be sensitive to common man during security arrangements for VVIPs

The Prime Minister has issued instructions that the authorities should be more sensitive to the concerns of the common man while making security arrangements for the VVIPs. <br/>In a letter to the wife of the 32 year old kidney patient who died during his visit to PGI in Chandigarh, Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed deep regret over the security restrictions due to which the patient could not get quick access to medical treatment.<br/>Earlier, the patient's family claimed that they were shunted from one gate to another for two hours on Tuesday by the security personnel deployed for PM's security despite being told that the patient was in a critical condition. The hospital said that the patient was brought dead to the emergency ward.<br/>
