Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought sanctions against Pakistan for instigating and exporting terrorism. Mr. Modi said that time has come to isolate and sanction this global instigator and exporter of terror.<br/><br/>He said, there is one country in our neighbourhood whose competitive advantage rests solely in producing & exporting terrorism. The Prime Minister said, terrorism is the most serious challenge to open and pluralistic societies and collective efforts are required to combat it.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said this while addressing the eleventh East Asia Summit at Vientiane in Laos, which was attended by leaders of 10 ASEAN members and 8 other countries.<br/><br/>Mr. Narendra Modi also held a bilateral meeting with US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of ASEAN Summit.<br/><br/>The two leaders reviewed immediate priorities in the strategic partnership and cooperation in several areas including climate change, nuclear energy, solar energy and innovation.
