The Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh has criticized the opposition for disruption the Monsoon session of Parliament. Talking to media outside Parliament House this afternoon, Dr.Singh said that the government was always willing to discuss the coal block allocation issue in the House but the opposition never took the advantage of the opportunity.
Reacting on the current impasse in the Parliament, he said that it is a negation of democracy. Dr.Singh asserted that Parliament could have debated more important issues like naxalism, ethnic violence, terrorism and economic situation in the country.
He said that the government is trying that the country does not get affected by the economic crisis that the world is going through. He urged the people to rise up and say that come what may, Parliament should be allowed to function.
