Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the defence scientists of the country for the successful demonstration of ballistic missile defence capability. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, with this, India joins the select group of five nations with such capability. He said, it is a proud moment for the entire country.<br/><br/>DRDO conducted the successful launch of the interceptor missile Advanced Area Defence yesterday from Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. The endo-atmospheric missile, capable of intercepting incoming targets at an altitude of 15 to 25 kilometers successfully destroyed the incoming missile.
