Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Sundar Pichai on being appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Google Inc. In a tweet, Mr Modi gave his best wishes to Mr Pichai for the new role at Google. The Chennai born 43-year-old IIT Kharagpur graduate is the second person of Indian-origin to head an IT company after Hyderabad-born Satya Nadella, who became the CEO of software giant Microsoft in February 2014.
