Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today exuded confidence that the decision on FDI in multi brand retail will get the approval in Rajya Sabha as well. When asked about the vote in Rajya Sabha Dr. Singh told reporters in Parliament House that he is confident on winning the vote in the Rajya Sabha.

Meanwhile BSP Supremo Mayawati, whose party alongwith the Samajwadi party that bailed out the government in Lok Sabha yesterday said, her party's stand on the issue in the Upper House will be known tommorow.

Congress and its allies had yesterday defeated the Opposition-backed motion over FDI in multi-brand retail in the Lok Sabha. The Samajwadi Party and BSP had yesterday abstained from voting by staging a walkout ahead of the voting.
