The Prime Minister has condoled the death of senior Congress leader and veteran Parliamentarian Bhagwat Jha Azad. In his condolence message to the late leader's son Kirti Azad, Dr. Manmohan Singh described Mr. Bhagwat Jha Azad as a leader with a long and rich experience in public life and with a commitment to the noble values of our Republic.

Chief Minister of Bihar Bhagwat Jha Azad died early this morning. Mr.Jha was suffering from Parkinson disease and was being treated at AIIMS. He was 89. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and many other state leaders have expressed shock over the sad demise of the socialist leader.
