PM cautions of attempt by sectarian forces to divide society in some parts of the country

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that attempt are being made in some part of country by sectarian forces to divide society on the basis of religion, caste and community.

Addressing a function on Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said in this crucial juncture remembering Indira Gandhi's message for National Integration is required to neutralise the secterian forces.

Conferring Indira Gandhi Award for for National Integration to noted Agriculture scientist Dr. M.S Swaminathan's Dr. Singh said because of him India presently is independent for adequate food producton and also in a position to implement the Food Security Bill.

UPA Chair person Sonia Gandhi in her inaugural address said that Dr. Swaminathan played central role in India's Green Revolution. She also cautioned about secterian forces active in some pat of the country.
