Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh has arrived in Frankfurt in Germany, enroute to New York to participate the United Nations General Assembly. Dr. Singh is to address the general debate on the 24th. In his address to the session Dr. Singh would articulate India's stand on UN reforms, terrorism, global economy and poverty eradication.In his departure statement, Dr. Singh said it is the time for United Nations to resume its global leadership role and said the world body must be seen as an impartial, credible and the effective body. He said, there is a need for all countries to act in tandem to address the twin challenges of terrorism and non traditional threat to international security.
