The Prime Minister has called for making Mission Swacch Bharat a mass movement so that the aim of creating a clean India can be achieved by 2019.

Mr Narendra Modi said this while chairing a high-level meeting today to review preparations for the launch of the mission.

The Mission will be launched on 2nd of next month. Mr Modi asked the people to take the movement to each and every village.

An official release issued in New Delhi said, the Prime Minister stressed for creating a legal architecture to institutionalize the mission at all levels.

He asked the Rural Development Ministry to explore the possibility to incentivise best performing villages. The Prime Minister also stressed for giving specific roles to various public representatives, including MPs, MLAs and Sarpanches.
