Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for making India a manufacturing hub and stressed the need to develop 'Made in India' tag. In his first address to the nation from the historic Red Fort in New Delhi on 68th Independence day, he said manufacturing goods should have zero defect and zero effect on environment. Mr. Modi called for waging a war against poverty by SAARC nations saying by working together SAARC nations can change the outlook of the world towards the region.

Before his address, Prime Minister unfurled the national flag from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort in Delhi.
