Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for making India a manufacturing hub and stressed the need to develop 'Made in India' tag. In his first address to the nation from the historic Red Fort in New Delhi on 68th Independence day, he said manufacturing goods should have zero defect and zero effect on environment.
Mr. Modi said, good governance and development can take the country forward. The Prime Minister announced the financial inclusion scheme Jan Dhan to facilitate opening of bank accounts for all poor people. The scheme will also have one lakh rupees life insurance cover for the poor. Before his address, Prime Minister unfurled the national flag from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort in Delhi.
