Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah today talked to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over Banaras Hindu University violence incident.<br/><br/>Informing this in New Delhi on the sidelines of BJP National Executive meeting, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari termed the incident as unfortunate. <br/><br/>He said, the state government will take action in the matter adding that the BJP government is sensitive towards women issues. <br/><br/>The violence erupted in the BHU campus following protest by girl students over an incident of misbehaviour in the campus last week. <br/><br/>Later, police had lathicharged the protesting students.
