Senior BJP leader and Union Minister, Rajnath Singh has said that the Prime Minister is aware of the issues of the Coochbehar people and these will be addressed by the BJP after coming to power in the State. Addressing election meetings at Sahebganj, Dinhata and Toofanganj in Coochbehar district, Mr. Singh said that West Bengal is lagging behind almost in all spheres today. <br/><br/>He said, this has been because of the TMC rule which has promoted only corruption and bomb making factories in the state. Mr Singh said, the TMC has cheated the people of the state in the name of bringing change. Mr. Singh said the people should vote BJP to power to bring about real change and all-round development of West Bengal.<br/><br/>The Greater Coochbehar Peoples Party has announced its support to the BJP in the district. During her campaign, TMC chairperson and Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee criticised Election Commission for imposing section 144 in all districts. She alleged that security forces are terrorising people under the pretext of security. <br/><br/>Addressing a rally at Haldia, CPI-M state secretary Surjya Kanta Mishra thanked the people for unitedly fighting against the ruling party's terror. Congress leader Manas Ranjan Bhunia said that the last two round of polling have proved that TMC is on its way out.
