PM assures all necessary help to the families of Hyderabad blast victims and injured

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has said stringent measures will be taken to prevent terror acts in future. Speaking to Prasar Bharati correspondent during his whirlwind tour to Hyderabad today, he said it is the time to maintain calm and peace. He said there is no difference of opinion over containing terrorism in the country. Dr. Singh visited the Intensive Care Unit of two private corporate hospitals where critically injured are getting treatment and enquired about the condition of others. He assured all possible help to the families of victims and the injured in Thursday’s twin blasts.

Dr. Singh also visited both the blast sites near Konarka Theatre and a bus stop and examined the manner in which blasts occurred and their impact. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy briefed him about developments. Earlier, the Prime Minister was received at Begumpet airport on his arrival from Delhi by state Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and a host of political leaders and senior officials.
The Prime Minister has since left Hyderabad for New Delhi
