Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) is ours as much as Jammu, Kashmir Valley and Ladakh. He asked the External Affairs Ministry to contact residents of PoK staying abroad and get information from them about the pathetic conditions in PoK and let the world know the fact. <br/><br/>Addressing an all party meeting in New Delhi on prevailing situation in Kashmir valley, Mr. Modi said the main cause of unrest is cross-border terrorism emanating from the neighbouring country. <br/><br/>He said terrorism has adversely affected common life in Kashmir and time has come to expose Pakistan's atrocities in PoK and Balochistan. He reiterated government's commitment for peaceful and permanent solution of Kashmir issue as per the basic principles of the Constitution. He said India is open minded and its doors are always open and it has been following the path shown by Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Prime Minister added that Islamabad will never be able to convince the world with its blatant lies. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said every Kashmiri wants peace and has full faith in democracy and that is why the number of those affected by the disinformation campaign launched by some elements is very less. He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families who lost their near and dear ones whether they are civilians or security forces. Mr. Modi said despite facing planned attacks, security forces have observed maximum restraint and they have suffered more. <br/><br/>He said certain restrictions have been imposed in some areas to maintain law and order. Mr. Modi assured that Centre and state governments will address the genuine complaints of the people but at the same time, violence, terrorism and anti national activities will be dealt with sternly. <br/><br/>Later talking to reporters, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said there is no decision about sending all-party delegation to Jammu and Kashmir as of now. He said security forces have been asked to maintain utmost restraint. On talks with separatists, Mr. Jaitley the government will evaluate the prevailing situation before taking any any decision in this regard. The Minister said any decision on banning pellet guns will be taken after evaluation of expert committee report.
