The Prime Minister has asked the states to take measures for increasing food production. Addressing a two day conference of Chief Secretaries in New Delhi on Monday, the Prime Minister admitted that there was complacency due to over confidence on food security.He said the present situation demands immediate steps for enhanced food production.
