A two-day workshop of BJP's newly elected MPs is underway at Surajkund in Haryana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party President Rajnath Singh inaugurated it.
The workshop will provide an opportunity to MPs to interact with each other and share their political experience so that they can develop a bond and work as a team in Parliament.
Party sources also said, the workshop will give an outline to the MPs about their roles as BJP members in Parliament and the party’s expectations from them during the next five years.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Defence Minister Arun Jaitely, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu and other party leaders will address the MPs. On the concluding day, senior BJP leader, L K Advani will address the participants at the workshop.
The orientation programme, which has been organized ahead of the first Budget Session of the new government at the Centre, also aims at grooming the newly elected members to become fine legislators. Over 180 newly elected party MPs are participating in the orientation programme.
